Review of Bandidas (2006) by George P — 17 Mar 2008
Bandidas is a comedic story of the rich and poor classes of Mexico uniting, embodied by the beautiful Salma Hayek and the adorable Penelope Cruz respectively. Cruz has much better comedic response in this film than Salma, who seems to take the history the film covers more seriously than the scope of the film itself, but the two leading women have a chemistry that is enjoyable to watch.
The rest of the cast fits cliched roles, and the film is rather enjoyable to watch. History buffs might want to steer clear.
