Baadasssss! is Mario Van Peebles' tribute to his father Melvin Van Peebles' fraught production of his groundbreaking 1971 film Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song. I bought this DVD for $2 at a Borders firesale, the best $2 I ever spent.
A great story about the making of a seminal black power film, which strikes the right balance between the personal and the political.
