A great movie with a fantastic film noir narration style and story style that is beautifully shot and nicely cast, even with mischa barton, who I can't stand. reece thompson is fantastic as bobby funk, an outcast who envisions himself as the top reporter at his school paper, even trhough he has never submitted a finished story.

'funky' gets roped into a 'conspiracy' that maybe not only his big investigitory break, but also his first foray into popularity and an open door to the girl of his dreams. bruce willis also drops in and out of this film as the no nonsense principal who has an odd way of doing his job.
