Amityville The Awakening is a decent attempt at modern day Amityville. With the exception of Jennifer Jason Leigh, the casting/acting was convincing. I enjoyed the fact that the script was not a remake in disguise and did not depend largely on flashbacks.
Not big on scares but a few shining moments make this an acceptable watch.
