Review of Almanya: Welcome to Germany (2011) by Rudrava R — 01 Oct 2011
Beautifully scripted movie. All international immigrants will relate to the stories, and I'm sure Turkish immigrants in Germany will be rolling on floor laughing.
The basic plot of the movie revolves around Huseyin, a migrant worker from Germany who has children and grandchildren and has just received his German passport. He buys a house in his old village to re-establish roots and persuades his whole family to do a road trip to his village in Turkey. The story of his life is told in flashbacks, along with the complications of 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants "not belonging anywhere". A must see movie.
