Review of Alice Adams (1935) by Jeff B — 12 Jan 2008
This was an okay movie starring Katharine Hepburn as a young woman who is ashamed that she's not as rich as all of the girls around her. She falls in love with one of the local guys and tries to impress him by pretending to be classier than she is, but that sort of makes her family fall apart.
Hepburn sort of annoyed me in this, she just didn't seem that likeable. She kind of reminded me of Wendy from tha animated Peter Pan how she wouldn't shut up. However, I did enjoy the father, he did a very good job.
