Review of Aftershock (2012) by Anthony S — 09 May 2013
Anyone who follows me twitter @acsullivan knows I got a chance to watch Aftershock today. I have to say, I enjoyed it. I think the critics are way off on this one. Nicholas Lopez isn't trying to cure cancer or score an oscar.
I think this disaster/horror hybrid flick turned out great. I think he spent enough time on act one character development that you actually do feel for the characters when things go south during and after the earthquake.
I feel the budget, cast, marketing and distribution model all make perfect sense for this genre flick. Well played Weinstein Company.
