Review of A World Without Thieves (2004) by Laurent H — 21 Nov 2007
A very touching Chinese movie. Action, laugh and love. The director knows how to put focus on a scene with several elements like the colors, the lights, the dark, the dynamism of camera angle. With that, the story deals with tension in a couple due to love and their values: to be a thief or do a good deed ? The main characters have their own motivations and it is only toward the end that everything becomes clear. Few jokes and action but intense enough to keep the pace and make this movie a must see.
The male character is a good model for me with his values and strength and I was very touched by the arguments and the love of the couple.
