Review of A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) by Jess R — 01 Jun 2008
The majority of Asian horror films don't live up to the reputation they've achieved in the West, but this is a perfect example of one that does. It's genuinely frightening, as some parts will make you jump while other scenes just fill you with an overwhelming sense of dread.
And the ending, rather than throwing some random obligatory horror movie twist at us, actually makes sense both from a psychological perspective and in terms of the plot, and it will make you want to watch this film at least a second time.
