Rampling portrays Kate Mercer to perfection in this movie. Is 45 years of marriage marred by the discovery of her husbands first loves body which was discovered frozen? Has the past 45 years of marriage been a reflection of what would have happened if her husbands first love was still alive.
Exceptional performances all round. Highly recommended.
