Born of French parents of the jewish faith who emigrated in Palestine, Zillah Chelton loses his mother to six years. She follows her father to Antwerp, where she spent her childhood. Attracted by the scene, she started in the company of Marcel Marceau. An actress whose career takes place mainly in the theatre, where she is the interpreter of eleven pieces in the repertoire of Eugène Ionesco, Zillah Chelton acquires a reputation that are repeated among a wider public with the film Tatie Danielle by Etienne Chatiliez (1990), in which she plays the title role : an old lady particularly cantankerous but endearing. She has taught comedy and has been the professor of the actors of the future of the troupe du Splendid : Gérard Jugnot, Michel Blanc, Christian clavier, Marie-Anne Chazel, or even Thierry Lhermitte. Zillah Chelton is the wife of the decorator Jacques Noël, with whom she had four children. She moved to Brussels, where she remains until her death. Incinerated during the summer in Belgium, his ashes were repatriated to be buried in the cemetery of Père-Lachaise, November 16, 20123 in the presence of several of his former students (Michel Blanc, Marie-Anne Chazel, Christian clavier, Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte), or Virginia Lemoine4.
