He spent his childhood in Ancenis (Loire-Atlantique), the city in which its parents are a cinema, The Eden, where he works as a opener. Then, shortly before the war, the family Berryer moved to Nantes, there to take the management of another room, the Majestic (later to become The Olympic), place Jean-Macé in the suburb of Chantenay. The young Simon then follows his studies at the lycée Leloup-Bouhier of the city. Sim began his professional life in 1946 as an operator of a cinema in Rennes at the cinema The Royal. It presents from 1953, a round of singing comic in cabaret, often in drag, as Madame Arthur in Montmartre. He also works at the Crazy Horse Saloon as a trainer of nipples to point the breasts of the girls. His funeral took place on September 11, 2009 in the Church Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul Roquebrune-sur-Argens commune, where he had resided for the past nine years and where he was buried. Crématisé in Vidauban (83), his ashes were scattered at the garden of remembrance in the crematorium.
