Miki Odagiri (小田切美喜) was known primarily for upbeat and timeless, each important to the role Takashi Shimura in Akira Kurosawa's classic Iklru as office Girl opposite, whose character is dying of cancer work, and Miki, Odagiri as Toyo, inspires him to live... just by being herself: bubbly, spontaneous, and optimistic. Each character also filled with blunt sarcasm, that was extremely rare in the movies of the early 1950's. Perhaps the most memorable scene of Miki and Takashi telling him she's finished work she created nicknames for their fellow workmates... including me feel! Sadly, Iklru beyond finding the handful of other Japanese movies she appeared in, especially pre-DVD or Blu Ray, is extremely difficult. But she left the impression not only one of Kurosawa's greatest achievements in the moment, what's considered legendary, but one of the best movies ever made, worldwide.
Miki Odagiri has acted in films with Daisuke Katō, Takashi Shimura, Seiji Miyaguchi and Minoru Chiaki.
