Joseph Louie was born on the 20th. June 1922 in Prague into a family of seamstresses and shoemakers. Young Joseph led the father to the art and inherited from him the talent of playing stringed instruments. With his brother, he in 1932 at the Vinohrady theater and later in the film. He graduated from Business school in Prague in 1942 and immediately went to the theatre, touring companies And. Buda – Červíčkové (1942 – 1945).
