Joe Camp (born April 20, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri) is a motion picture director and writer. He is best known as the creator and director of the Benji films. He currently resides in Bell Buckle, Tennessee with his wife Kathleen. They also own property in Valley Center, California.
Camp is also known for his work with horses. He owns, and has trained, five horses who live with him at his Valley Center Ranch. He has written a book about his experiences with horses, The Soul of a Horse.
Joe Camp has acted in films with Jane Seymour, Orson Welles, Ernest Borgnine and Chevy Chase.
