An American actor and musician. He was known primarily for his role in the Film Free Willy and its two sequels. Richter grew up in Medford, Oregon, and Honolulu (Hawaii). When his parents moved at the beginning of the 1990s, to Los Angeles, applied to judge various roles and was awarded in 1993, finally, the starring role in Free Willy – cry of the freedom. After the success of the film, two other parts followed. Commercial successes away from the Free Willy remained for the most part, only Laserhawk with Star Wars Veteran Mark Hamill in a main role found in the United States attention. In the meantime, the judge was, together with some other artists in the Band Blue Root, where he played E-guitar. He left the Band at the end of 2004, according to official data, due to creative differences. Starting in 2005, he played electric Bass in the Band Fermata, which dissolved in January 2011. In an Interview with People Magazine in April 2003, he justified his withdrawal from the film business that he did not feel comfortable when he is standing in the center. As a guitarist he was simply a part of the Band.
