Iris Apfel (born August 29, 1921) is an entrepreneur, american interior designer and fashion icon. Young woman, Apfel worked for the daily Women's Wear Daily and for interior designer Elinor Johnson. She is also the assistant of the illustrator Robert Goodman1.
In 1948, she married Carl Apfel. Two years later they launched the textile company Old World Weavers and the lead up to their retirement in 1992.
