Gabriel Gobin arrived in France at the age of seven years. First prize for comedy at the conservatory of Lille in 1928, he began his career on the boards of the theatres of the province and of Belgium, and then went to Paris in 1935. He joined the company of Georges Pitoëff and interpreter, among others,Jean Anouilh, Marcel Achard, Stève Passeur, Noël Coward. He started in film in 1947 in the film Monsieur Vincent by Maurice Cloche.
