His grand-father, Georges Chaperot was a screenwriter (La Cage aux rossignols), and his sister, Armelle Boss, is a screenwriter and television (Miss, You women...). Together they write for film and television. In 1981, Emmanuel graduated with a degree in theatre and cinema and in 1984 it follows the courses of Charles Dullin for three years. Emmanuel also works regularly for courses with Philippe Hottier (Theatre of the Sun), Elisabeth Chailloux, Adel Hakim and Bob Mc Andrew, New York and Paris. To pass the contest designer of the rue Blanche, he interviewed a Theatre director who hired her to play the role of the tutor in A month in the country by Turgenev. He discovered the acting profession, and integrates the courses of Charles Dullin. In 1986, he founded his own theatre company and plays at the municipal theatres of the parisian suburbs, of the province and several times at the Avignon festival. In 1993, he was noticed in The Palms of Mr. Schutz.
