It's now weird to see Liam Neeson on film when he isn't beating the shit out of people.
Kidding aside, it's for me to diss a film that was clearly so lovingly put together by the master Martin Scorsese but damn...this was borderline hard to sit through. For every time it is engaging there are long slogs of borderline lifeless cinema in between to the point where I was fighting sleep in the last hour.
There might be more to chew on here for deeply religious people but the film left me relatively cold and hard to recommend as beautifully made as it is.
