Silence is definitely a well made film. Gorgeous cinematography and production design. Strong performances from the cast. All around, a classically great film on the surface. But it's message and characters just didn't connect with me emotionally or intellectually.
That's where it lives up to it's title too well. Maybe it takes a few viewings, so I'm not dismissing it completely.
