Review of Silence (2017) by Jacob D — 16 Jan 2017
Silence is beautiful, brutal, stark, and miles deep. The story, adapted from Shusaku Endo's masterpiece novel, plumbs the depths and complexities of faith and doubt. This film will beat you up in the best way possible.
You will go on an exhausting journey, witness brutal persecution, torture, and deep questions of faith. You will walk out of the theater pummeled, and yet be thankful for the experience.
