Review of Silence (2017) by Stefano L — 17 Jan 2017
Sometimes you don't have to understand something to appreciate it. This is the case. A nearly 3h movie in which nothing is left unexplained because nothing need to be explained. It's a turtle slow movie (after 20 minutes I started watching my clock.
Hoping it would go faster) on religious fundamentalism, that has the only plus in the location where it's shot, but that doesn't give you anything. You can't even emphatize with the christians that are prosecuted because they are so dogmatic that it hurts to try to understand their reasons. And Eduardo Severin is not 1% convincing for the entire lasting of the movie in his role.
