The moral questions at the core of Scorcese's masterpiece are eternally relevant -- here's a film that can be heeded by people of all religions or causes, for there may be a time for any of us where we find ourselves in the protagonist's dilemma, asking, "Is apostasy cowardice if it saves lives?" It's a question that can never be answered, and that's why Silence will never age.
