Sadly didn't care for this even though Scorsese is my favorite director. Maybe it's my lack of belief but the films religious themes didn't really do much for me and the film just felt felt laborious and dull.
Well-made on a technical level and bleak as hell though. The performances I felt were a little spotty especially with accents.
