This film will be quite popular with the various awards voters as it's exactly the type of movie they love. Martin Scorsese has been trying to get this film made for many years and true to his previous projects, he takes his time telling a story but he generally does a great job of it.
It's hard to love or hate this story or the movie..., I would say that it's worth taking the journey however. The acting, cinematography and the direction are all top notch.
