Review of Silence (2017) by Jesus C — 10 Jun 2017
Martin Scorsese's new masterpiece, Silence, drives me to rethink everything about religion while adoring its beautiful cinematography. Martin makes sure every frame of this three hour film is not pointless or boring.
During most of the film, I was sitting on the edge of the couch wondering what horrible fate lies ahead of the Christians. This has to be Andrew Garfield's best role in his entire career. The film isn't Pro or Anti Christian, it lets you decide its side by your own thoughts and faith.
Don't worry Atheist, the film doesn't push you to be religious in any way and even questions itself. Silence has to be the best religion film I've ever seen. It's a must-see masterpiece.
