Review of Redemption (2013) by Patrick K — 10 Jul 2013
Jason Statham is a dude I have alot of fun watching purely because he makes films I enjoy and his persona is always more believable than any other actor. This film is not his usual fast paced action fare more of a slower paced gritty thriller.
He plays an AWOL army sergeant who puts his head down in the streets amongst the homeless until he is forced to take refuge in an empty house to help him get back on his feet working for local gangs and giving his life some kind of meaning by helping his wife and daughter and a local nun who looks out for the homeless.
Its an excellent story with excellent performances that shows the true darkness of the alleys in London. I hope many people get to see this film as its a riveting watch.
