Review of Desolation (2017) by White R — 08 May 2018
Desolation is a strange journey. The antagonist is a creeper mute mountain man, who spends most of the movie standing still doing nothing. While it's creepy there's some irritation in the fact that he's got no reasoning. He never speaks, never explains, and wears his suuuuun glasses at night!
The kid in the story was also a strange development, wanting to be treated as an adult but asking dumb questions for an hour and making some pretty poor choices like a kid would. Then out of nowhere he saves the day and becomes a stone cold adult! Also I don't know how old Jaimi Paige is but she does not look old enough to be this 13 year old's mother. The acting was never lacking however and it was a good mindless watch.
