For indie films, I think one has to rate them differently and have different expectations. With Zenith, I think the film has good effort and spirit. But I think in order to get things out of the film, you have to put extra energy into paying attention.

(It is reminiscent of Primer in that respect.) If you can tolerate amateur filmmaking, enjoy movies like 12 Monkeys and Trancers, and like trying to figure out hidden meanings and puzzles then perhaps you can make Zenith work for you.
