This is one of Gere's best. A must see for all fans. Gere is superb with a great supporting cast. The story is set in WWI just before D-Day where Gere falls in love but can't commit for fear of not coming back.
This one will tear at your heart strings. Watch on a rainy day and just let it take you back in time to feel what it must have been like with all the fears and uncertainties.
