Review of XX/XY (2002) by Casey B — 18 Jan 2004
Mark Ruffalo is becoming more of a star these days. I enjoyed his character in the NBC television show Third Watch (at least I think it was that show). Anyway, XX/XY is a decent film about infidelity in relationships.
Mark Ruffalo plays a character who is afraid to be taken seriously and who seems to be incapable of being faithful. I think he is afraid to take love seriously as well. Though the film has good qualities, it doesn't quite prove it's point.
Mark Ruffalo's character just seems doomed to make the same mistakes over and over again.
