Review of World Trade Center (2006) by Adam U — 23 Sep 2011
This movie was excellently made. It captures the emotion of the day perfectly. Perhaps it came out too soon after that tragic day, I can't say for sure.
However, I think it's important for people to see this movie. Based off the accounts of survivors of 9/11, you can at least slightly grasp what those people connected to the tragedy felt.
You see what their families went through. You see what some Port Authority cops went through, not even able to help any people that day, but what they went through just because they had to try to help.
Granted most, if not all, of the world stopped on that day. And we all felt sadness and shock, it is nothing compared to what these people actually went through.
This movie resonates with me just as powerfully as it did the day my sister and I saw it in the theatre.
There's a reason that we call them heroes.
