Excellent performance by Val Kilmer, a kick-ass rock and roll soundtrack, and plenty of suspense make this movie an instant hit.
(P.S. However Lisa Kudrow's entire character I could have done without if you ask me. She was made up to look like she was 50 and sounded like she was 80.).
