Review of White Girl (2016) by Tomas R — 04 Mar 2017
Morgan Saylor gives raw performance as Leah. Her hard to watch descent to the underbelly of NYC as she collects soul scaring nightmares one doesn't forget, is hard to watch and scars are also inflicted on the audience.
Elizabeth Wood with her unapologetic debut succeeds in letting us see Leah's experiences through character's eyes and seals herself as one film maker to watch. Morgan Saylor however, will be the one we talk about in the next years.
Scenes of Drugs, debasement and sexual violence.
