Review of Whiplash (2014) by Martin A — 30 Dec 2016
This movie is just beautiful. As someone with a past in professional music training, I can relate to the main character's struggles. At times, the movie is painful to watch, but as you will discover through the main character, being good at something takes a good deal of pain, sacrifice, and dedication to the point of obsession.
As someone who enjoys Jazz music, this movie encouraged me to listen to Caravan -- a Duke Ellington song played at the end of the movie -- again and again.
