Review of Which Way Home (2009) by Dustin P — 28 Nov 2010
The sad tail of young mexican children trying to get to the US to have a better life. Most documentary fans will enjoy this movie but it doesn't reach a bigger audience. Which Way Home seemed more like Which Way will the camera go next.
The story jumped around a lot and only give you a few seconds to reconnect with recurring subjects. To find out that this film got an oscar nom puzzles me. It just shows that if your doc is meaningful you will have better success.
Still the film is better off shown as a tv special on hbo as it is running now rather then a feature meant for a wide release.
