Review of Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden? (2008) by Darcy L — 11 Nov 2008
This film blew me away. Morgan Spurlock is amazing, sweet and most of all intelligent. He is the anti-Michael Moore if you will. Not only was this documentary topical and poignant but Morgan went into the deepest parts of the middle east and talked with regular people to get their opininon of the war on terror and Osama.
No agenda, no tricks or lame political narrative just a nice guy talking with people. There is also a nice little sub-ploy about him as an expectant father which added a much needed emotional arc. Morgan was successful because he didn't get up on a soap box or high horse, just a camel.
If you care at all about what is really going in with American foreign policy, rent it. If you liked Super Size Me, rent it. If you know Obama, ask him to rent it.
