Review of Waterloo Bridge (1931) by Alanna B — 07 Jul 2006
I'm sorry. I know everyone loves this movie and I really wanted to like it too. But it was so painfully predictable. When we were fist introduced to Vivien Leigh's character, I was like "I bet she gets hit by a train in the end.
" She got hit by a car instead. Maybe this movie is meant to be so good because it is one of the first movies to focus on prostitution and suicide. So I'm giving 3 stars for going into those topics and still managing a PG rating, even though I was bored out of my mind while watching it.
I did enjoy the Ballet bit though.
