Review of Watchmen (2001) by Sugarfall S — 21 Aug 2014
Rivalling several movies as my fav movie of all time and the spot for best movie ever made, this movie brings me to tears several times as it carves a deep route through the sentimentality of friendships built and.
Token in a world desperate for heroes and simultaneously so quick to destroy them. It's iconographic and iconoclastic purging and melancholy touches me deeply and makes me long for my own former idealism while chastening my vanity, confronting me with my own darkness while calling me to rise up again like the Phoenix we can all be with adequate resolve.
Beautiful, poetic, tragic, epic, timeless, romantic and raw, everyone of these heroes and villains are who we are and could have been...maybe were...maybe will be still. God help us!
