Review of WALL·E (2008) by Shaun V — 07 May 2013
There are other contenders for sure but for me this is one of the best animated films of all time and one of the best films I've seen period. People get upset over the portrayal of humans and the issue of trash but it just baffles me at how angry people get when faced with the truth.
In an age with expanding bellies, large areas dedicated to dumping trash, and a full generation glued to their cellphones this just may be the most realistic depiction of where we are headed. Instead of taking it like a personal insult, man up and face reality and be the change you want to see.
Having said that it should be a crime how easily this movie manipulates ones emotions with a supposedly "lifeless" machine that can only say a few names. A masterpiece.
