Penelope Cruz, Carmen Maura, and the rest of the cast shine in this smart, touching, and stylish film. I wish I could watch with the understanding of a native speaker, because the writing is so phenomenal I can only imagine what details and emotions are lost in translation.
Even so, Volver is beautiful.
