Review of Very Good Girls (2013) by Dann M — 05 Oct 2014
Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen star in the coming of age drama Very Good Girls. During their last summer together before they go away to college two best friends, Lilly and Gerry, end up falling for the same guy, testing their relationship.
Olsen gives a standout performance and steals every scene she's in; the rest of the cast however, are pretty bland and lifeless. And, the plot is pretty aimless and does a poor job at developing the relationships.
Meandering about without a clear vision, Very Good Girls is a halfhearted and formulaic film.
