Pure amusment! Errol Morris is one of the greatest living documentists. It's just too bad that he has to resort to making commercials. Vernon, Florida has some colourful characters but elderly people any where in the world could be just as amusing because Errol is great at making people talk and the elderly love to talk.
He could have gotten the same effect in Saskatchewan...lots of crazy old dudes there that love to talk about hunting, farming and whatnot.
