Review of Vernon, Florida (1981) by Craig G — 01 May 2009
This film has stuck with me and grown larger in my mind long after my first viewing. A fascinating portrait of life in a small Florida town, told by its inhabitants. I find this to be the most bittersweet of Morris' films, I think it has the greatest possibility for two different viewers to walk away, one finding the film hilarious, the other finding it sad.
In my mind, they're both right.
