Review of Uptown Saturday Night (1974) by Joshua L — 04 Apr 2012
What can I say about this movie? Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby plays two fellas that went out to this "funky joint" to have a good time, not knowing that the place was slated to be robbed, along with the wallet that Sidney Poitier had the winning lottery ticket, he and Cosby try to get with the most dangerous and zany folks to get it back.
One of the funniest movies out there. And the first in the triology of movies that Poitier and Cosby made together. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Also, you just cannot bypass Flip Wilson's preaching and the chior's singing.
This movie was the first of three movies that Poitier and Cosby worked together on from 1974-1977.
