Review of Unicorn City (2012) by Kjirstin Y — 24 Feb 2012
Like Juno, My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding, and, yes (sigh), Napoleon Dynamite, Unicorn City is one of those Indie Sleepers you don't expect much from that really surprises you.
I know nothing about gaming, but that didn't stop me from raucous guffaws at the antics of this crew. The characters in Unicorn City are hardcore gamers. I don't want to give too much away, but this film really grabs you in the funnybone, and refuses release until the final credits roll.
From the music to the physical comedy, you'll love Clancy, and that centaur is something else...wonder if someone would cast him as a life-size plastic lawn ornament? I would so put him in my front yard!
