Review of Undefeatable (1993) by Wolfeden S — 13 Mar 2010
It's kung-fu in mom jeans when Kristi Jones, a waitress who moonlights as a street fighter, sets out to avenge her sister's death. In a city where everyone is a martial arts master, the white guys wear mullets, the black guys dress like extras in Michael Jackson's "Bad," and Asian kids dress like James Dean, Kristi must fight her way through increasingly ridiculous set pieces to find the perpetrator.
There's not a slo-mo technique, spinning kick or attempt at over-acting left out of the mix. Truly a gem in the bargain bin best enjoyed with a group who appreciates the absurdity of this movie's earnestness.
