Review of Uncanny (2015) by Mike A — 02 Dec 2017
I you watch this movie, definitely stay to watch the after-credits scene. I skipped it and then read a review here that mentioned it. SPOILER ALERT!
This movie had a good premise, and a good twist at the end, unfortunately, I suspected from the VERY beginning that David was a robot, so that seriously ruined the twist for me. Hell, they basically telegraphed it half way through on the rooftop scene. I thought Adam was a robot all along, so that part of the twist revealing that he was the programmer was good. I think this movie would have worked WAY better if the two lead actors had switched roles. I just wasn't buying the chemistry in the love story for a second. And dramatic ending when she's crying and saying she loves him? Again, didn't buy it for a second.
Btw, the after-credits scene reveals that she got pregnant! Boom, now that was good little bonus. Apparently this movie was written by a Urologist. Kinda makes sense. :).
