Review of Twentynine Palms (2003) by David W — 25 Oct 2010
I bought this film (and I paid rather a lot) hoping for a nice arty horror treat. No. Instead I got a pretentious "shocker". It has some of the most off-putting sex scenes ever filmed, and as I believe this was the directors intention I shall credit him with this, but little more.
The review here claims that the film will shake you if you stick with it, which may be true for some but personally I found the two seconds of shock didnt take away the pain of the rest of the running time.
See it as a curio, or as an exmaple of the new extremism done badly, just dont see it for fun!
